Learn From The Pros: 30 Things Every League Of Legends Player Needs To Know

The scope for Red Dead Redemption 2 isn’t necessarily tied to the “size” of the world, but instead its depth. From the short amount that we played of the game, relatively-speaking, I have no doubts that the Western world that Red Dead Redemption 2 is bringing to life will probably be massive. As recent trailers…

2017 is shaping up to be a landmark year for video games. Not only do we have the likes of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild , Horizon: Zero Dawn , and Persona 5 already released, but Wolfenstein: The New Colossus , Crackdown 3 , Far Cry 5 , and God of War…

Red Dead Redemption 2 Delayed: 15 Reasons This Could Spell DOOM For Rockstar

When it was first announced that GTA V would have three player characters, it seemed like a bit more of a gimmick to deviate from its previous games than a truly enhanced gameplay experience. But those thoughts were quickly silenced once players saw how much fun having multiple characters could be. Having the freedom to…

Red Dead Redemption 2 is the Deepest, Grandest World That Rockstar Games Has Made Yet

But unlike many others that I’ve talked to about this, I don’t find myself turned off by any of these aspects of Red Dead Redemption 2 . In fact, I think these elements are Red Dead Redemption 2 ‘ s biggest strength from what I’ve played so far. Rather than just feeling like I’m another…

As you stock up on valuable loot and money earned from heists, you have the option to contribute those items (or cold hard cash) into your gang’s funds, which in turn can be used to invest in upgrading the various sections of the camp. Though some of these upgrades will be a bit pricey (especially early on in the game), the camp provides a valuable resource by giving you easy access to ammo, provisions, and tonics that will all be more than useful when you’re going between missions, in a more cost-effective manner than getting it all individually at a general store.

Your horse is not only your primary means of transportation while roaming the landscape of Red Dead Redemption 2 , but it’s also your primary means of storage and carrying equipment between missions. Notably, that includes all of your stored weaponry, tonics, gear, and more, making it all the more important to pay attention to what you have on you.

Even though Rockstar games are huge, they’ve never really showcased a large variety of animals. Some of this is due to most of their games taking place in heavily occupied cities, while other games, such as the first Red Dead Redemption , just didn’t feel as though there was a lot of variety. It seems that Rockstar has made it a major point to show fans how many different types of wildlife will be in their next big game. We not only see countless numbers of birds, we’re treated to buffalo, weasels, field mice, dogs, vultures, coyotes, deer, and much more. This game seems to be taking place closer to the American Midwest. During the time period in which this game will take place, it’s accurate that there would be so much wildlife in every inch of unoccupied land. Hopefully, we’ll be treated to a glimpse of the infamous Rockstar Bigf

Having now played the game for many dozens of hours, these are just a few of the tips and suggestions that I have for players looking to get the most out of Red Dead Redemption 2 with the game’s launch today on PS4 and Xbox One. By no means are these essential tips for completing the game, given how massive and Open World Games Tips it is for players to experiment and play how they like, but they should be helpful in uncovering every inch that Rockstar’s most immersive world yet has to offer.

Another item you’ll want to snag in your travels is the ancient tomahawk, located East of the Wapiti Indian Reservation, on the Eastern part of the Calumet Ravine. It lies embedded and forgotten in an old tree trunk, awaiting its new dest

As much as there is the draw to get through the story missions as quickly as possible, don’t be afraid to take some time in between missions to let yourself be immersed in the rich world that awaits you in Red Dead Redemption 2 , such as exploring towns like Valentine or the big city of Saint Denis. Likewise, get the most of your Western experience by playing a round of poker at the local saloon or take in a vaudeville show when you have some down time, or interact with the rest of the Van der Linde gang back at camp to complete side activities with them.

In a preview with Rockstar Games in New York City, we were able to see about two hours of Red Dead Redemption 2 . With the demo split between seeing some of the game’s early story-driven moments, and then getting to interact and play the game for ourselves, this not only gave us a sense of the overall scope of Red Dead Redemption 2 , but also provided a hands-on feel for its deeper mechanics, gameplay systems, combat, and the environment. In short: it’s a game of a scope that I don’t know that I’ve ever seen before from an open-world game, even coming from the studio that (arguably) set the genre’s foundations with Grand Theft Auto III way back in 2001.

What Rockstar has built with Red Dead Redemption 2 isn’t just a vast world of splendor and beauty within which they have place random mission markers and enemy bases to go clear. Instead, this is a place that they’re legitimately wanting you to live in. Can it be tedious at times? Sure. But more often than not, I think it gives me a stronger sense of intimacy with both Arthur and this setting of the Wild West, and that’s something I haven’t felt in an open-world title in quite awhile.

By forcing you to slow down and complete duties that seem lackluster, you slowly start to feel more present in this world and grow closer to your own version of Arthur. If Red Dead Redemption 2 was just all about riding around the West and shooting up saloons with your revolver, you’d likely feel disconnected from your avatar. The game then just becomes a power trip and the character that you end up playing is just an amplified version of your own wants and desires. Doing simple chores though such as chopping wood, skinning animals and dragging them back to my horse, and donating to the gang’s larger pool of money has made me feel more of a bond with Arthur than any other character I’ve played as in recent memory. My bond with the character thus far has been established in these small moments, not the large ones.

With enough time and bonding, you can even unlock more advanced riding tricks and techniques, such as rearing, drifting, and a quick turn ability. Where cars and other vehicles in Grand Theft Auto are fairly disposable, Red Dead Redemption 2 creates a more genuine relationship between the player and their horse, and given that I…

We’re finally coming back to those indie games. Gunman Clive is a classic 2D run and gun shooter. Shoot guys, collect power-ups, scroll from left to right, and so on. It’s basic, but what sets it apart is the art style. Better yet imagine if someone took the art style of A-ha’s Take on Me…

Red Dead Redemption 2: Don’t Pre-Order Just Yet

But… we’ve been here before, haven’t we? It’s a recently-scribed tale as old as time: A sophisticated, wondrous looking trailer drops for an upcoming big-name title. Gamers then drop some serious coin on pre-orders for the game, only to be delivered a half-finished, buggy game that fails to meet expectations. This was notoriously the case…

With so many different facets to the gameplay and interacting with the environment, the number of systems and mechanics at play in Red Dead Redemption 2 is staggering, and in some instances can even sound a little overwhelming. Red Dead Redemption 2 Needs to Avoid Hollywood Tropes

Seeing as Red Dead Redemption 2 has officially been announced to the masses, albeit with no idea what the game is about (John Marston’s name is not even mentioned), I thought I’d voice some thoughts. While I wholeheartedly enjoyed both Red Dead Revolver and Red Dead Redemption, I am worried by Red Dead Redemption 2….
